Welcome to the Avant-Gardener
After 20 years of gardening for my own pleasure and enjoyment, I realized that my passion for plants could be useful in gardens that were not my own. Finding unusual and exciting plants and combining them in fresh and innovative ways could be more than a hobby; I could use my skill to start a small garden design business. Underpinning my creative abilities with color, texture and shape is a solid understanding of the cultural requirements for scores of plants, much of it gained through years of growing them in my own garden.

I charge one rate of $50.00 per hour.
The combination of beauty and fascination that plants provide is exciting as well as addictive. (Don’t say you haven’t been warned!) I look forward to helping you achieve it in your own garden.
